Run at a city park minutes from downtown Calgary, “Seismic
Survey Basics” is designed to introduce participants to
the methods used (past and present) to gather seismic survey
data.
Participants will lay-out, chain and survey 2D and 3D lines using
conventional and GPS equipment.
Topics include: survey control, “vertical” and “horizontal”
survey, flylines, advantages and disadvantages of common survey methods, common
errors in field surveys, deliverables from the field, GPS and new
technologies.
This hands-on course is ideal for anyone who purchases, sells, manages
or uses seismic data.
Maximum participant/instructor ratio is 4:1
Cost is Cdn $350 per person + GST
